Sirrs LLP are proud to announce that Robert J. Hankinson, Q.C. has joined the firm following the acquisition of Vickerson & Hankinson, also established in 1908. Under one name or another, the two firms have carried on the practice of Law and served the citizens of Wetaskiwin and surrounding area for a combined 200+ years.

Randy Noonan has re-located his labour and employment law practice from Vernon to Victoria. Richard Hewson and David Mardiros continue their law practices in the Vernon office location.

Allen H. Deckert

Allen Deckert was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 1980 and has practiced as an associate and partner with Sirrs LLP since admission. The areas of practice Allen prefers include Wills, Estates, Powers of Attorney and Personal Directives, Real Estate including purchases, sales and financing or refinancing of land, and corporate law.

Glen Allen articled with this firm and is now a partner whose practice is focused almost entirely in Criminal Defence. He is a member of the Criminal Trial Lawyers’ Association, the Canadian Criminal Justice Association, past president and current member of the Lion’s Club and member of Alberta Chapter of Trout Unlimited.


Richard Gregory

Richard Gregory articled with the firm in 2006 and became a partner in 2009. His practice areas include civil litigation, wills & estates, real estate and corporate law. He is an alumni of the Athol Murray College of Notre Dame in Wilcox, Saskatchewan, and a former All-American and Academic All-American at St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota. Richard graduated from the University of Saskatchewan College of Law in 2006 prior to commencing his articles with the firm. He volunteers each winter as a minor hockey coach in the Wetaskiwin area and is presently the Vice President & Director of Hockey Operations for the Western Women’s Hockey League.

Miles Cymbaluk was called to the bar in 1991 after articling with Sirrs Watson Deckert Allen. He has a general practice with emphasis in Criminal Defence and all aspects of Family, Divorce and Matrimonial Law. Miles is a member of the Criminal Trial Lawyers’ Association and has served on various boards including: Downtown Business Revitalization Zone, Main Street Program, Wetaskiwin Child Care Society, Wetaskiwin and District Association for Community Service, and as Director of International Service for the Rotary Club of Wetaskiwin.

Greg Genest was admitted to the Bar in 2000 and joined the firm as a partner in 2004. He began his career as a Crown Prosecutor in 2000. Since going into private practice, he has focused on Criminal Law and Civil Litigation.
